Very quiet server. Had a lot of history but it's buried since everyone grew out of the game. Personally I continue to play because this server feels the most " Ragnarok" to me. Been playing for many years now and it sucks to see the population diminish. Come try it for yourself, the feel of the server is quite nice.

This server has been live for 10+ years, showing that the population using it is consistent. Over the last few years a lot of people have left, but more are coming. Everyone is nice and helpful to new comers, and updates are frequent.

No population, recently 1 guild had to split into 5 small guilds just to make it seem like there is competition. Could be a great server, but only one GM because of a history of corruption. Also aegis, so updates come very slowly. Other then at peak times server is a ghost town, and even peak times the population is very low. This used to be a great server, and has potential, but GM has let trolls run wild for fear of losing population. Perma bans become 3 day bans over night. Avoid this server.

I remember back in the day when this server was totally awesome. Everyone was really friendly, the reason I played this game was because of my brothers and cousins playing. Who would've thought that I would have made tons of friends! I miss them actually, anywa when I was still playing the game there was so much more people playing and being available! I played for two years, I had fun with it. Then I quit because of school. Oneof my brother came back, but it was just so empty!

Decent server in theory, but only 1 active gm, head admin doesnt care anymore, and hardly any players. Strongest guild quit mostly because of their leader quitting, but also because of lack of events, gm presence, and lack of competition, some of them DID move on to a server in direct competition with this one. Economy is pretty stagnant, WOE is boring, running aegis so takes forever to get updates or even small changes done. Too many whiners, and gms side with them. More social than competitive

Xenophase requires more selective staff, which is why we have a much smaller staff team than most servers. Even if there is no staff member available in-game, forum PM messages can be sent at any time and responses are prompt. In the last month alone we have had a major episode release (13.2, with all the quests, items, monsters, and maps) and a major update to Battlegrounds to name just a couple. Some updates are slower, though this is because the staff must custom-code most scripts by hand.

woe got fixed - good. now we just need people who are willing to hunt random crap to help the economy and a guild to compete with the dominant guild atm.

Hardly any players, and when you do they are afk sitting in towns. Woe is inactive, too many people rather sit in towns than woe. 5-15 venders on average, same junk/overprice stuff everyday. running outdated aegis so behind a few episode. Haven't seen a single in-game event since i started. Have to donate your $ to change hairstyle/dye and only 3 color. Server very inactive, most new players quit within a few days/weeks, rates misleading, only apply to nontrans. same hat quests recycled manytime

It can be difficult to find players, as most are in various leveling/hunting fields rather than sitting in the towns: those AFKing in cities are a minority. We average about one special event per week; there is even one occuring today, with announcement signs in-game. A new custom clothing dye npc is in progress. We run Aegis ep13.2 with the Renewal client, though we do not intend to get the Renewal mechanics or 3rd classes. WoE competition is currently poor, though the server overall is active.

Friendly community, servers are stable, no fugly customs or overpowered donation items.
Economy...? Well 10 merchs can't be called an economy.
And there's the downside: the population.
This server needs more players and has so much potential, but it shouldn't be the responsibility of only the players to invite more ppl.
The way the admins refuse to promote the server, put on ads or toplist stuff and and other ways suggested by the comm to increase the player numbers, is just ridiculous

There are three major ways we advertise; you are correct all require player support: 1) via RMS (as you see here), 2) via word-of-mouth/e-mail invitation, and 3) via paper flyers, where volunteers post on local public school/University boards. We have found these are the only effective methods. Previously we took out Google Ads to advertise on other sites and were a part of the various 'Vote Daily' sites, but as we are unwilling to force people to vote these methods were ineffective and removed.

I'm a "10 years old" RO player, since 2002. RF has brought me the old time happy memories and "The (RO) Feelings". Personally like this server very much, but have not seen much player in there. The rest of the things are just fine. Hope to see RF growing, more players & more competitions. A sincere thankful heart for the RF staffs.

One of the newer players on the server, this server is old, but it's starting new again so everyone is on equal grounds. The community in general is very friendly as #main can attest to that. I've seen a few GMs on over the period of days I've been here. I can't say much for eventfulness though, and since the server is new, Guild Competition has not started and the economy is still unstable. Join us if you're looking for nostalgia and start anew!
